In my practice I see adults, teens and couples.
My work is eclectic, as each person is unique and has different needs. I believe that when our minds are calmed and less distracted the wisdom of our authentic self will become clear. When there is the practice of paying attention to this, a person’s life can change – feelings of discontent can be relieved, personal relationships improved and clarity about one’s path emerge.
I have been told by clients that I am empathetic and non-judgmental, but I can also ask difficult questions and can challenge their core beliefs and behaviors to assist people in making positive changes in their lives. My work is influenced by Humanistic and Gestalt Psychology, DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Family Systems and the practice and study of yoga and meditation.
I work with individuals suffering from anxiety, who are in high stress jobs, experiencing parenting/family stress and people recovering from trauma.
Additional therapeutic themes include;
- anger at self (low self-esteem)
- interpersonal relationships that are not serving you
- DBT skills to help people deal with; low frustration tolerance , emotional dysregulation and hypersensitivity to rejection
- exploring the decisions you are making and other life changes
Fees
My practice is fee for service and I do not work with insurance companies directly at this time. I can provide a Superbill, many PPO plans will reimburse for out-of-network providers.
